Today, there are in total 34 students from three schools who participate in the forum-theater club in Mady, Shark and Kyzyl-Kyshtak village districts of Kara-Suu district in Osh oblast. These clubs were organized within the framework of WPU Erayim’s ‘The Introduction of a Combination of Traditional and Modern Approaches to Prevent Conflict in the South of Kyrgyzstan’ project, supported by the German international organization Bread for the World.

Three experienced British teachers came to Kyrgyzstan in the Jumgal Valley to help Kyrgyz teachers of the English language develop their knowledge and their skills. The course took place between the 29 May and the 9 June in Chaek. Twenty-eight teachers attended the lessons very regularly every day from 9 o’clock till 3 o’clock. They had lunch together in Alma Abakyrova’s café in town, a café which is run by one of Erayims’ Self-Help Groups.

Experts on SHGs of the project which is being implemented by WPU Erayim called ‘The Introduction of a Combination of Traditional and Modern Approaches to Prevent Conflict in the South of Kyrgyzstan’ Koshumbaev Abdylas and Sepishova Elmira paid a working visit to Jalal-Abad and Osh oblasts from 21 June to 23 June 2017.

On 20 June 2017, seven students from the fifteen participants of the English Language Club organized within the framework of the WPU Erayim’s ‘The Introduction of a Combination of Traditional and Modern Approaches to Prevent Conflict in the South of Kyrgyzstan’ project were selected at the Abu Ali ibn Sina No.16 secondary school in the Shark village district of Kara-Suu district in Osh oblast to visit the American Corner, organized in the Osh Regional Library. This was the initiative of the head of the English language club, Iliyosbek Ashuraliev.

Today, in almost every region of Kyrgyzstan, there are many parents who are forced to become migrants because of unemployment and leave the country, leaving their children in the care of their grandparents and other relatives. Unfortunately, most of these children do not receive sufficient pre-school education.

The number of maternal schools in Jalal-Abad province is constantly growing as part of the WPU Erayim’s ‘The Introduction of a Combination of Traditional and Modern Approaches to Prevent Conflict in the South of Kyrgyzstan’ project, funded by German international organization Bread for the World. Another maternal school was opened under the name ‘Perishte’, located in the village of Bazar-Korgon of the Bazar-Korgon village district.

It is noticeable that the clubs working within the framework of the project ‘The Introduction of a Combination of Traditional and Modern Approaches to Prevent Conflict in the South of Kyrgyzstan’ implemented by WPU Erayim help the children to open their talents, improve them, choose the right path and find a suitable profession in the future.
