A new street was built in the village of Karacha Akman municipality of Bazar-Korgon district. There are several local long-standing problems there. Residents of the new street and village in whole learn to solve their problems by themselves and even help local self-governance in this.

To ensure the financial sustainability, SHG Associations has been started income-generating activities within the framework of the WPU Erayim’s ‘The Introduction of a Combination of Traditional and Modern Approaches to Prevent Conflict in the South of Kyrgyzstan’ project, supported by the German international organization Bread for the World (Brot für die Welt). One of the types of such activities is the beekeeping business of the SHG Association Kurmanzhan Datka in Mady rural district of Kara-Suu district in Osh oblast.

Karamat Toktoralieva lives in the village of Sai-Maale, Bazar-Korgon rural district of Bazar-Korgon district. Her fellow villagers knew her as a big farmer. Because, she cultivated all kinds of vegetables on 2 hectares, on the land allocated to her by the state, for personal consumption, and for sale in the bazaar (local market), received a good profit and also treated her fellow villagers. But, she decided to change the type of business.

WPU Erayim’s ‘The Introduction of a Combination of Traditional and Modern Approaches to Prevent Conflict in the South of Kyrgyzstan’ project, supported by the German international organization Bread for the World (Brot für die Welt), which begun in 2014, has received additional support for further 3 years.
SHG Associations visited Andijan city of Uzbekistan

Members of Self-Help Groups organized in the villages of Shark, Kyzyl-Kyshtak, Mady, as well as the SHG Associations Shark and Kerme-Too of Kara-Suu district in Osh oblast, the staff members of maternal schools working under the project that has been implemented for the third year ‘Introduction of a Combination of Traditional and Modern Approaches to Prevent a Conflict in the South of Kyrgyzstan’ by WPU Erayim and the staff of WPU Erayim together organized a tour around the cities of Uzbekistan on July 7, 2019. They visited historical sites.
