In May and June 2018, within the framework of WPU Erayim’s project ‘The Introduction of a Combination of Traditional and Modern Approaches to Prevent Conflict in the South of Kyrgyzstan’, supported by the German international organization Bread for the World (Brot für die Welt), an event was held among the secondary schools Abu Ali ibn Sina, No. 16, Kurmanzhan Datka, No. 86 and K. Matkeimov, No. 117 in the villages of Shark, Mady and Kyzyl-Kyshtak of Kara-Suu district in Osh province.

Within the framework of the project supported by the German international organization Bread for the World (Brot für die Welt) of the women public union ‘Erayim’ entitled ‘The Introduction of a Combination of Traditional and Modern Approaches to Prevent Conflict in the South of Kyrgyzstan’, 37 pupils from secondary compulsory schools №16 named Abu Ali ibn Sina of Shark village, №86 named Kurmanjan Datka of Mady village and №117 named K. Within the framework of the WPU Erayim’s project ‘The Introduction of a Combination of Traditional and Modern Approaches to Prevent Conflict in the South of Kyrgyzstan’, supported by the Bread for the World organization, 20 maternal schools were organized in the village districts of Akman and Bazar-Korgon, Bazar-Korgon district of Jalal-Abad province.

In the autumn of this year we will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Bazar-Korgon district. Preparatory work has already begun. A series of projects are planned for the anniversary, namely to restore abandoned entertainment and service buildings, to build social facilities, to repair roads, etc. In early summer, a marathon was held, the purpose of which was to raise funds for all these planned tasks. Inhabitants of the district and young men who work abroad have rendered valuable help. Among them was a WPU Erayim team, who also contributed and provided financial assistance.
The 2018 Summer English Language Schools for Teachers Have Started

English language trainings for teachers have started within the framework WPU Erayim’s “English Summer Schools for Teachers” project, funded by the British charitable organization The Erayim Aid Trust UK, established under the British Charity Commission (registration number UK 1163524). The course take place between the 29 May and the 9 June at the Innovative Gymnasium School No.1 in Karakol city of Issyk-Kul province. Forty teachers from local schools are attending the lessons.

An event entitled ‘Ak Elechek - A Sacred Talisman of Friendship and Harmony’ devoted to the Mothers’ Day was held on May 20 at the Culture House of the Shark village. It was organized on the initiative of active self-help groups of Shark and Kyzyl-Kyshtak village districts of Kara-Suu district in Osh province, which were part of the SHG’s Association organized within the framework of the WPU Erayim’s ‘The Introduction of a combination of Traditional and Modern Approaches to Prevent Conflict in the South of Kyrgyzstan’ project, supported by the Bread for the World organization.
