Due to the current situation in the country connected to COVID-19 pandemic, the staff of WPU Erayim in the Jalal-Abad oblast began to work remotely using the ZOOM program. Due to quarantine, they began to work without leaving their home with possible means of communication. The regular project team meeting was held remotely to discuss the implemented work and coming planned activities using the popular ZOOM program.
Clubs Continue Lessons Online

Due to the risk of COVID-19 coronavirus within the framework of the WPU Erayim project “The Introduction of a Combination of Traditional and Modern Approaches to Prevent the Conflict in the South of Kyrgyzstan” supported by German international organization Bread for the World (Brot für die Welt) head of the English language club Aisuluu Orozova conducts classes remotely. She has started online lessons for beneficiaries in project areas of the Jalal-Abad oblast on March 30 of this year. The club members are divided into three groups. First, she prepares a special video lesson, then send it to the group on WhatsApp. As soon as the children get acquainted with the video lesson, the club leader contacts them to discuss the topics. After discussion, homework is given to consolidate the topic. Homework is tested in the next lesson. The conversation using the WhatsApp application is conducted in the format of questions and answers.
“In the circumstances, we did not wait for the end of quarantine, since children can forget the program that was completed before that, and secondly, we can lag behind the program. In this regard, I did not take a break regardless of quarantine,” said Aisuluu Orozova.
Similar online lessons are also held in the project areas of WPU Erayim in the Kara-Suu district. Eliza Almazbekova, the head of the English Club in Kara-Suu district, also held her first lesson remotely.
