Charity event organized by new SHGs

Within the framework of the project of WPU Erayim ‘The Introduction of a Combination of Traditional and Modern Approaches to Prevent the Conflict in the South of Kyrgyzstan’, supported by the German international organization Bread for the World, two new Self-Help Groups ‘Ornok’ and ‘Araket’ in Telman-2 village Saray municipality Kara-Suu district held their first charity event together on January 26, 2021.

In Beshik-Zhon municipality in Partsiezd village, there is a kindergarten №7 ‘Nagima’. 115 children of the village are brought up in a standard, comfortable one-story building of the kindergarten. The kindergarten has 20 educators who have organized their own Self-Help Group Asylzat.

Grants for the development of women-owned small business were allocated in Kara-Suu

Within the framework of the WPU Erayim ‘Women Empowerment in Rural Areas of Kyrgyzstan’ project, supported by the Australian Government's Direct Aid Program (DAP) three Self-Help Groups of the Kara-Suu district Osh oblast were allocated 450,000 soms grants to support women-owned small businesses. The grant was allocated to each group in the amount of 150,000 soms.

SHG Associations submitted nine proposals to the municipality strategy plan

Members of 3 SHGs of Shark, Mady and Kyzyl-Kyshtak municipalities of the project ‘The Introduction of a Combination of Traditional and Modern Approaches to Prevent the Conflict in the South of Kyrgyzstan’ identified 9 key problems together with the villagers after participating in the training ‘Development of long-term strategic development plans’ organized by WPU Erayim.
