Members of 3 SHGs of Shark, Mady and Kyzyl-Kyshtak municipalities of the project ‘The Introduction of a Combination of Traditional and Modern Approaches to Prevent the Conflict in the South of Kyrgyzstan’ identified 9 key problems together with the villagers after participating in the training ‘Development of long-term strategic development plans’ organized by WPU Erayim.

To submit their proposals from 9 points to the strategic five-year plan for the development of the village, they participated in meetings of the local village councils.

On December 30, 2020, members of the Kerme-Too SHG Association took part in a meeting of local deputies in Kyzyl-Kyshtak municipality and proposed 3 proposals to include in the 5-year strategic plan.

  • Proposal 1: Construction of a road barrier along the large ditch in Ishkavan village and repair of this road.
  • Proposal 2: Construction of a new school in Ishkavan village.
  • Proposal 3: Development of ‘Beekeeping’ business.

As a result, the chairman of the Kyzyl-Kyshtak village council D. Satyvaldiev accepted the proposals and instructed the deputies to consider them. Members of the Shark SHG Association took part in the meeting of the local village council on December 29, 2020, and proposed to include 3 issues in the 5-year strategic plan of Shark municipality.

  • Proposal 1: Countering religious radicalism, extremism and terrorism.
  • Proposal 2: Ensuring the safety of residents by paving and lighting the sidewalk on Yuldashev Street in Shark village.
  • Proposal 3: Development of ‘Beekeeping’ business.

The chairman of Shark village council A. Yusupov and the deputies of the village council discussed the inclusion of 3 proposals in the strategic plan of the municipality and said that a written response would be given to the SHG Association about the results. On December 28, 2020, members of the Kurmanzhan Datka SHG Association took part in the next online meeting of local deputies in Mady, where they proposed to include 3 issues in the five-year strategic plan. 

  • Proposal 1: Providing pure water to residents of Taldyk Street Mady municipality.
  • Proposal 2: Providing access to preschool education for children from the village of Socialism.
  • Proposal 3: Construction of a sidewalk on Bedelova Street for pedestrians and students.

3 proposals of the Kurmanzhan Datka SHG Association were accepted by the chairman of the local council Toktorov, and he said that all deputies should get acquainted with these proposals and resolve them as soon as possible. In addition to three SHGs, Narynkul Dyushenalieva, SHG project coordinator, and Ikram Israilov, a local project coordinator, took part in the meetings of the deputies of Shark, Kyzyl-Kyshtak and Mady municipalities.
