Within the framework of the project of WPU Erayim ‘The Introduction of a Combination of Traditional and Modern Approaches to Prevent the Conflict in the South of Kyrgyzstan’, supported by the German international organization Bread for the World, two new Self-Help Groups ‘Ornok’ and ‘Araket’ in Telman-2 village Saray municipality Kara-Suu district held their first charity event together on January 26, 2021.

The above-mentioned groups previously received information from the organization Erayim, get acquainted with the activities of the Associations of Self-Help Groups, as a result of which these two self-help groups of Saray together began their first steps in their work with a charity campaign.

This event was attended by representatives of the organization Erayim. Members of the newly formed SHGs voluntarily collected warm winter clothes for adults and children in need of warm clothes and handed these things over to the employees of the organization Erayim. Later all the collected things were handed over to the representatives of the National Red Crescent Society in the city of Osh by the team headed by the coordinator of the organization in the Osh Oblast, Ikram Israilov.

The main goal of this event was to provide assistance to families in need and call on the residents of Telman 2 village to harmony and peace, - said Nursuluu Zhakypova, a member of the ‘Ornok’ SHG.

"Henceforth, such events will often be organized in the Kara-Suu district, together with the Red Crescent Society", - added the coordinator of the organization for SHG Narynkul Djushenalieva.
