Within the framework of the WPU Erayim’s project ‘The Introduction of a Combination of Traditional and Modern Approaches to Prevent Conflict in the South of Kyrgyzstan’, supported by Bread for the World (Brot für die Welt), technical trainings were held from 15 to 25 November 2018 on the component ‘To Build Capacities of SHGs Members’ in Mady, Kyzyl-Kyshtak, Shark rural districts of Kara-Suu district in Osh Oblast.

The training ‘Proper food preservation’ was held on November 15-17, 2018. At the training, the SHG members were able to learn how to make conservation at home, how to comply with sanitary standards, how to use only fresh vegetables correctly and prevent poisoning.

The training on the topic ‘Vegetable seed farming’ was held on November 23-24. In this seminar, participants received detailed information about the seeds of varieties of vegetables and their hybrids, gained experience in preparing varietal seeds at home.

The training on the topic ‘Waste sorting and processing’ was held on 25th November. At the training, participants learned how to do composting, bio-humus and fertilizer at home from organic waste.

All these training courses were conducted by an agronomist, an adviser on organic and greenhouses, an experienced coach Toichubay Mamatov.

It should be reminded that in the same rural districts, on November 26-28 this year, a 15-hour technical training was held for SHG members on the topic ‘Greenhouse business’.
