Within the framework of the WPU Erayim’s ‘The Introduction of a Combination of Traditional and Modern Approaches to Prevent Conflict in the South of Kyrgyzstan’ project, financed by the international German organization Bread for the World (Brot für die Welt), the members of children's self-help groups of the Zhoomart Bokonbaev, Toktogul and Isak uulu Teshebay schools of Bazar-Korgan district organized ‘Eco-cleaning” campaign with a view to assisting in the implementation of the ‘A Three-month Sanitary Cleaning’ event under the National Campaign ‘Taza Jashoo’, which is held in the region.

Twenty students from three schools participated in this campaign. Students from the boarding schools cleared the irrigation ditches along the street of Parpiev of Bazar-Korgon village, were engaged in weeding and softening the soil of trees. In some places they planted new seedlings.

Along with this, they encouraged people to keep the environment clean. And the students of secondary school named after Toktogul cleaned the area around their school. The same work was done by the members of the children’s self-help groups of the secondary school named after Ysak uulu Teshebay.

- “Each year, the CSHG members take a such initiative and are a good example for other students. The main goal of this kind of action is to show for the whole school to live in a clean and beautiful environment. Also, the students were supported by the management and teachers of the school. Our actions for the sake of cleanliness will continue,” - noted the coordinator of the CSHG Maksat Pirmatov.
