On 17 March 2018 the Sarmerden competition was held in the National Dramatic Theater of the oldest Osh city with 3017-year ancient history, where the talents of Chon-Alai and Kara-Suu districts competed with each other.

During the celebration, a national exhibition entitled 'Kyrgyz Kochu' was also organized, where illustrated the national features and traditions of the people living in the south of the country.

Prior to the beginning of this event yurts were constructed, where national heritage was displayed in the form of national costumes, dishes, beautiful things made from felt, shyrdak (felt carpet), various kinds of national jewelry, wooden dishes, dolls for children made by artists. The members of the SHGs ‘Rainbow’, ‘Iyman nuru’, ‘Gulbakhar’ of WPU Erayim Latipova Shaista, Saitova Sahiba, Usmanova Saodat participated and showed their own products.
