Pusulmankulova Cholponai and Ormonova Yrysgul, members of Ak-Tilek SHGA of Bazar-Korgon city Bazar-Korgon district, together with the children of Beipildik, Ak-Ilbirs, Shamdagailar and Mega-Star ChSHGs organized a cultural event devoted to the Day of the Kyrgyz language.

The main goal was to teach young people to appreciate their native language, national traditions and customs. At the event, Kyrgyz national rituals connected with the birth of a child were staged. For example, they first explained orally when and under what circumstances the national ritual ‘Beshik Toy’ would be held, its rules, and then they showed the performance of this ritual on a specially prepared stage. Then, to show the importance of national traditions, the children staged a performance based on the novel by Chingiz Aitmatov ‘The day lasts more than a hundred years’, depicting the state of the hero of the novel named Mankurt. Children also prepared excerpts from the Manas epic. Kyrgyz folk proverbs and tongue twisters were not forgotten either. At the end of the event, Kyrgyz dances and songs were performed. Kishimzhan Boronbaeva, SHG coordinator for Bazar-Korgon district, and Aziz Orozaliev ChSHG coordinator, also witnessed a joint event of SHG and ShSHGs within the framework of the project ‘The Introduction of a Combination of Modern and Traditional Approaches to Prevent the Conflict in the South of Kyrgyzstan’, implemented by Women's Public Union Erayim.
