In Kyrgyzstan today, preschool enrolment remains very low. According to the Statistical Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic, it was only 24% in the academic year 2021-2022. In 1712 preschool educational organizations (of which 1500 state and municipal, 212 private) more than 360 thousand children are being brought up and educated. This means that more than 758,000 children are not covered by preschool education.
