Wise Mothers spent Fairy Tale Day at Maternal Schools

Members of the Shark SHGs Association on April 23-24, 2021 organized a performance of a fairy tale for children ‘The Tale of Wise Mothers’ at the maternal schools ‘Kyzgaldyk’ and ‘Roza Nuru’ in the rural districts of Kyzyl-Kyshtak and Shark in the Kara-Suu district.

In Toloiken municipality Kara-Suu district, Osh oblast, in November-December 2020, within the framework of the project ‘The Introduction of a Combination of Traditional and Modern Approaches to Prevent the Conflict in the South of Kyrgyzstan’, implemented by Women's Public Union Erayim with the support of the German international organization Bread for the World (Brot für die Welt) the Association of SHGs ‘Kerme-Too’, ‘Kurmanzhan Datka’ and ‘Shark’ were created. These Associations of SHGs decided to support the new SHGs established in Saray, Nariman and Toloiken municipalities Kara-Suu district.

Currently, in Shark, Mady, Kyzyl-Kyshtak and Toloiken municipalities Kara-Suu district there are 32 Children's Self-Help Groups, consisting of 282 children, which were organized within the framework of the project ‘The Introduction of a Combination of Traditional and Modern Approaches to Prevent the Conflict in the South of Kyrgyzstan’ implemented by WPU Erayim under the support of the German international organization Bread for the World. They work according to the annual event plan.

The project ‘The Introduction of a Combination of Traditional and Modern Approaches to Prevent the Conflict in the South of Kyrgyzstan’, supported by the German organization Bread for the World has been implemented by the Women's Public Union Erayim in the Kara-Suu district of Osh oblast since 2014. Within the framework of the project WPU Erayim ‘The Introduction of a Combination of Traditional and Modern Approaches to Prevent the Conflict in the South of Kyrgyzstan’, supported by the German organization Bread for the World, members of the Association of SHGs Kurmanzhan Datka SHG ‘Ezoz’ and ‘Eldos’ in Mady municipality Kara-Suu district collaborated with Mr Ernist Sadiev, a private entrepreneur from the village, to lay gravel on a 1.5-kilometre road in the village of Kyrgyz-Chek.

In March this year, a sewing workshop for ten women was opened in Kyshmaala village Akman municipality of Bazar-Korgon district. They won a grant of 150,000 soms within the framework of the WPU Erayim project ‘Empowerment of Women in Rural Areas of Kyrgyzstan’ supported by the Direct Aid Program (DAP) of the Australian Government.
