Having participated on a competitive basis in the three-day training workshop on Countering Extremists Propaganda and Hate in Media organized by the School of Peacemaking and Media Technology in Central Asia Erlan Davlatov, public relations officer of WPU Erayim received a certificate on the topic ‘Preventing the Propagation of Extremism and Intolerance in the Media’.

To strengthen the peace, the members of SHGs and CSHGs which were organized in the framework of the WPU Erayim’s ‘The Introduction of a Combination of Traditional and Modern Approaches to Prevent Conflict in the South of Kyrgyzstan” project, financed by the international German organization Bread for the World (Brot für die Welt) are carrying out various activities among nationalities to prevent the propaganda of extremism and terrorism. It should be noted that the ‘Nooruz’ is one of such events, a holiday of peace and harmony.

Based on the received knowledge, Erlan Davlatov organized the filming of the event in honor of the Nooruz holiday in the rural districts of Shark, Mady and Kyzyl-Kyshtak in the Kara-Suu district, where the best traditions of different nationalities were shown under the slogan of friendship, unity, peace and broadcasted on the Osh TV channel.

He noted that the training, along with serious problems, also discussed the current needs of journalists in covering problems related to extremism, terrorism, and about the techniques and tools for covering all problems associated with these phenomena. He also noted that the trainings were conducted by highly experienced international and local specialists.
