20 maternal schools are opened and operating in the villages of Shark, Kyzyl-Kyshtak and Mady of the Kara-Suu district in Osh province. In addition, four more maternal schools have opened and are working outside the project area. In total, 24 maternal schools are successfully functioning at this time within the framework of the project.

The maternal school ‘Datkayim-Nuru’ is one of them. It was designed for 60 children and has been working in Mady village since 2016. At present, there are 5 employees in the maternal school, 42 children are under their education. To improve conditions in the maternal school ‘Datkayim-Nuru’ members of the ‘Oomat’ SHG attracted funds in the amount of 160,000 soms in the form of sponsorship from different sources. They collected 70,000 soms from the entrepreneurs of the village, in which they themselves live and work. Begayim Shernazarova, who recently returned from Mecca from pilgrimage sponsored 70,000 soms. The members of SHG collected 20,000 soms. Thus, the initiators did a tree-styled lining in all the rooms of the maternal school, put the water pipes and toilet bowls for the collected 160,000 soms.
