A general meeting of the heads of maternal schools located in the villages of Shark, Mady and Kyzyl-Kyshtak of the Kara-Suu district in Osh province was held in December 2017.

The meeting was held at the №116 Abu Ali ibn Sina secondary school in Shark village. The initiative to hold this meeting was raised by the leaders of the maternal schools. The issues such as improving the quality of work and the condition of maternal schools, raising the level of education of educators and legal registration of maternal schools were put on the agenda.

A project legal adviser Dilshod Kadirkhodzhaev, and the coordinator for the maternal schools Gulkayir Zholdubayeva, attended the meeting. The lawyer noted in his speech that in March 2017 he met with the heads of the maternal schools on the issues of legal advice and registration of maternal schools. In addition to the answers to the questions of the meeting participants, he also provided legal advice. In turn, Gulkayir Zholdubayeva noted the need to continuously improve the level of knowledge of the heads, educators and health workers of maternal schools for effective improvement of the work of maternal schools in the upbringing of children. She also suggested following the advice of the author of the book ‘Maternal School’ Usenko Lilia Valeryanovna in their daily work and practical activities, which was specially designed for the maternal schools. She noted that only in this way they can improve the quality of work of the maternal schools.
