Adilbek uulu Kushtarbek is studying at the 9th grade at Toktogul Satylganov secondary school in Bazar-Korgon district. His father died soon after he was born. His mother died of a serious illness when he was only ten years old.
Since then he was brought up by Shailookan Akmatova, a sister of his mother. Kushtarbek studies well and diligently, but his shyness has always prevented him from expressing his opinion openly and being active during the lessons. There are several clubs at the school. Although he had a desire to visit these clubs, his shyness and timidity prevented him from taking such a step. Finally, he went to the forum theater and the Russian language clubs at his school, which work within the framework of the project of the Women’s Public Union Erayim ‘The Introduction of a Combination of Traditional and Modern Approaches to Prevent Conflict in the South of Kyrgyzstan’ and after some time there had been a change in his character, view and behavior. Aksana Davletova head of the Russian language club says the following on Kushtarbek’s achievements: "Kushtarbek is a very benevolent boy”. At the same time he is very shy. In the early days, when he began to attend classes, he could not express his opinion because of his excessive shyness. I made a remark to him and asked him to get rid of shyness and pay full attention to the lessons. I explained him that it is very useful to know Russian. He began to try to be sociable and active, like all other children. At first he could learn to read fluently and without accent in Russian. Then he began to express his thoughts freely in Russian. Now he is able to explain his thoughts with little grammatical errors in his speech, for example in the endings of the words. He is indeed ready to hold a conversation and talk in Russian. He reads poems in Russian beautifully. He is very diligent,” says Aksana Davletova.
