A seminar was held in the building of the maternal school ‘Rayana’ located in the Bazar-Korgon district under the WPU Erayim’s ‘The Introduction of a Combination of Traditional and Modern Approaches to Prevent Conflict in the South of Kyrgyzstan’.

The initiator of the seminar was the head of this maternal school Anara Isakova. Methods of teaching were discussed and educators exchanged with their experiences in this seminar. The seminar was conducted under the guidance of Anara aiym. It was attended by 50 people. The seminar’s goal concerned the teaching methods at schools and how to organize interesting games for the development of children.

This maternal school was opened in 2015. There are 180 children and 9 tutors in this school. Each tutor of this maternal school shared with her experience. The visual lessons were conducted on the following topics: ‘Conducting a Comprehensive Lesson’, ‘Speech Development’, ‘Geometric Figures’, ‘Lesson of Relay Race’ and ‘Autumn Festival’.

“We would like such seminars to be organized more often, because they are very useful for us,” said the seminar participants. According to the coordinator of the maternal schools Dilfuza Nazaralieva, 20 maternal schools were opened and are working in the Jalal-Abad province within the framework of this project. Seven of them are included in the budget of local governments, one is private, and the other is seasonal. To date, 917 children are involved in maternal schools. “There are more initiators who would like to open such maternal schools in the villages of Akman and Bazar-Korgon village districts of the Bazar-Korgan district. We are also planning to organize training seminars for them,” says Dilfuza Nazaralieva.
