The project ‘The Introduction of a Combination of Traditional and Modern Approaches to Prevent Conflict in the South of Kyrgyzstan" implemented by the Women’s Public Union Erayim, funded by the International German organization Bread for the World has been extended for the year 2017.

Within the framework of the project English language clubs were organized at the secondary school named after Alym Usman in Jalal-Abad city of Jalal-Abad province, at Toktogul Satylganov secondary school and at the boarding school named after Joomart Bokonbaev of Bazar-Korgon district in Jalal-Abad province. It should be noted that the English club worked in the previous stage of the project as well, but the head of the club was different person. And now the English club is working under the guidance of Aisuluu Orozova in the new project. She could gather children interested in learning English, starting from grades 5 to 8. Next, it was taken into account that members of children self-help groups formed and working in these schools will take part in the given clubs.

“And so sixty-two students enrolled and the lessons were held according to schedule. To increase the interest of children during the lessons, I try to use visual aids and modern technologies. My students began to taking part at the regional and city competitions in English among schoolchildren. The students of all secondary schools of Bazar-Korgon district participated in the English language competition called ‘Golden Staircase’. Among them, Torogeldi uulu Mirgel, an active participant of the club from the boarding school named after Joomart Bokonbaev, a student of the 9th grade was awarded with a prize to take part in educational exchange program to study the language in China. He will soon leave for China, where he will stay for two weeks” says the head of the club Aisuluu Orozova.
