With the purpose of strengthening the friendship of children and increasing their activity, the WPU Erayim’s ‘The Introduction of a Combination of Traditional and Modern Approaches to Prevent Conflict in the South of Kyrgyzstan’ project, supported by the international German organization ‘Bread for the World’.

Within the framework of this project, children self-help groups were formed in the secondary school №7 named after Alym Usman in Jalal-Abad city, in the secondary school named after Joomart Bokonbaev in Bazar-Korgon district, school №35 named after Teshebay Ysak uulu and at the Toktogul Satylganov school in Bazar-Korgon district. The children raise the problems of their schools and contribute to the solution of these issues. They also organize cultural events and sports tournaments.

Football tournament was held at the stadium of the secondary school №7 named after Alim Usman in Jalal-Abad city with the main goal which was friendship and harmony. Four children self-help groups took part in it. This tournament was organized by the coordinator of children's self-help groups Maksat Pirmatov. The guest of the event was the head of the women public union Rakhila Zhusupova who made a congratulatory speech at the opening of the tournament. In her speech she noted that the purpose of such tournaments is to strengthen the friendship and harmony of the children's self-help groups in the project, enhance their activity in public life and share experiences, and wished everyone good luck. The head of the rural administration named after Chyngiz Aitmatov of Jalal-Abad city Maksat Zhusupbekov and the director of the secondary school №7 named after Alym Usman Mohidil Isakov expressed their wishes and thanked the organizers of the tournament.

It should be noted that football uniforms and soccer balls for the tournament participants were bought for the money of coordinator of the CSHG’s Maksat Pirmatov and at the sponsorship of the deputy of the Beshik-Zhon village Sagyn Torokanov. The first match of the tournament was between the teams ‘Bilim’ who came from the secondary school named after Toktogul Satylganov and ‘Million’ who came from the secondary school №7 named after Alym Usman of Jalal-Abad city. It was obvious that the interest of children in this sport was very high and the training was at the highest level. According to the results of the game, two teams played a draw with a score of 1:1. 

After that, the children of the self-help group ‘Ak Ilbirs’ from the secondary school named after Joomart Bokonbaev played with the children of the self-help group ‘Bilerman’ from the secondary school Teshebay Ysak uulu. Their game was also interesting and brought the excitement to the fans. It was clear that the preparation for the game was excellent. Two goals in succession were scored by the team ‘Bilerman’, and by winning the game they were preparing for the next match.

According to the rules of the game, the teams which got low points in the previous game, the teams Million and Ak Ilbirs met on the pitch and the ‘Millionaires’ won with a score of 4:1. And the match between ‘Bilerman’ against the team ‘Bilim’ ended in a victory of ‘Bilerman’ with a score of 2:1. The finals were played between the teams ‘Million’ and ‘Bilim’ and the team ‘Million’ was victorious. They got the tournament cup. It was presented by the chairwoman of WPU Erayim Rakhila Zhusupova. The remaining teams were also awarded with the Certificates of Honor. Honorary certificates were presented by Maksat Zhusupbekov, the head of the rural department named after Chyngiz Aitmatov of Jalal-Abad city and Mohidil Isakova, the director of the secondary school №7 named after Alym Usman. At this tournament there were no losers, friendship and harmony have won. It should be noted that such kind of sport tournaments between schoolchildren will prevent childish crime, prevent the spread of Internet adventures that have spread recently among schoolchildren. According to the Coordinator of CSHGs Maksat Pirmatov, such kind of sporting events which strengthen the friendship and harmony will continue to be organized between the children's self-help groups within the project.
