Psychological counseling is necessary for adults and children

There are today many people, both adults and children, who need psychological assistance. The reason for this is life’s difficulties, problems in society – some people are very rich, some are very poor –, and consequently poor people leave their homes in search of jobs.
Those who want to study at universities struggle with paying the tuition fee. Those who wish to do business, live in prosperity, build a nice house and buy a car like everyone else have to take loans that are given in our country at high interest rates. And this is how they became trapped in a debt hole. How many people have lost their homes because they could not pay the loan back? How many people are on the run because of this? You can say that people go abroad to work not because of the sweet life they have in their mother land. There are those who owe large sums of money, those who do not have permanent jobs, and each labor migrants have his own personal tale.
It is difficult to hear stories where someone has to leave his or her children and go abroad to find a job. Children are left in the care of relatives or their grandparents, and the departing parents do not think how about their children will grow up; their only thought is to find money. How do children feel when they see and hear all these things? In such situations, they need psychological help. A specialist is needed who knows their inner world, who can speak with them. We would like to mention Zhyldyz Kaldarbekova, who is a teacher and has worked with children for many years, becoming the children’s second mother and close friend. She understands child psychology very well. She has been working at the Joomart Bokonbayev boarding school in Bazar-Korgon region for many years. As an expert who knows her profession well, she is one of the teachers who actively participates in the public life of the school and who openly expresses her opinion. The children love her because she is very creative; she is always looking for new teaching methods and finding something new which meets the requirements of the time and children. Her lessons are always engaging. In recent years, she has been able to master the international norms of psychology, working closely with international organizations and participating in many training seminars on professional development. Therefore, she cooperates with international organizations without any difficulties. Since the beginning of this year she has been working as a psychologist for the ‘The introduction of a combination of traditional and modern approaches to prevent conflict in the south of Kyrgyzstan’ project, funded by the German international organization Bread for the World. Within the framework of this project, she provides psychological assistance to the residents of Jalal-Abad city’s Ch. Aitmtov region and the villages of Akman and Bazar-Korgon villages in the Bazar-Korgon region.
"This project will work for two and a half years. 16 families will be selected from each of the project’s target regions. Earlier, psychological help was provided to adults and children separately. Now the project includes the whole family, and consultations will be given to all members of the family. We provide assistance according to our own methods. We train, organize various seminars, trainings and special events. We select families according to special provisions. For example, families where one or more members are migrants or families where one member is a person with disabilities. We started our work in Bazar-Korgon village. It is a multi-ethnic village, where the local residents are mostly Kyrgyz and Uzbek. Despite the fact that they have lived in unison for many years as one family, the interethnic clashes of 2010 provoked by extremists left a mark on their psychology. Several years have passed, but there is still a feeling of fear and mistrust in both adults and children. We must eradicate these feelings and purify their thoughts. It is our goal. In line with the project, we will move to another village in four months. It is very difficult to know the feelings of a person, to know their inner world. But by relying on our many years of working experience and knowledge, we try to understand them and provide all possible assistance. I work with every adult or child and I find out what they feel inside, then I turn to a heartfelt talk. There is no close friendly relationship between mother and daughter, father with son, sister with sister, brother with brother, everyone is left alone with their own thoughts, this can not be denied. Now we must look for other ways to solve this issue and help people. Psychological help is needed not only by children, but also by adults. You can not divide them to old or young," said Zhyldyz Kaldarbekova.
