By initiative and efforts of the employees of the Women Public Union "Erayim" in Osh province a new maternal school is opened in Padavan village of Shark village district in Kara-Suu region. The main initiators of the opening of this maternal school are eight members of “Bahor” self-help group.

For starters, this maternal school is designed for 10 pre-school children, to prepare them for the primary school. According to the coordinator of WPU “Erayim” in Osh province, Narynkul Duyshenalieva: "The main purpose of the opening of such school is to educate the children of migrants. The opening of maternal schools nowadays is relevant because they make up the shortage of pre-school facilities throughout Kyrgyzstan.”

The activity on opening maternal schools has been supported by our Ex-President Roza Otunbayeva, during her visit to our region. Having familiarized with our works Otunbayeva has noted the necessity of continuation of such initiatives.

Representatives of local government, the members of SHGs, CSHGs and villagers attended the opening ceremony of a new maternal school. This event was accompanied by concert program.
