On 30 March 2023, Mrs Tara Neal, Senior Specialist in Democratic Development of the USAID Mission in the Kyrgyz Republic, conducted a site visit to the Erayim office in Osh Oblast.

During the meeting, Rakhila Zhusupova, Chairperson of the Women's Public Union Erayim, introduced the organisation's staff and provided a comprehensive overview of its structure, objectives, and activities. Ms. Neal also took the opportunity to explain the purpose of her visit and provide an overview of USAID programmes.

Gulnara Nurmatova, Program Manager of WPU Erayim, provided an overview of the current projects being implemented, including the 'Introduction of a Combination of Modern and Traditional Approaches to Prevent Conflict in the South of Kyrgyzstan' project, which is being carried out with the support of the German international organisation 'Bread for the World'. Furthermore, she highlighted the introduction of a new component, mediation, which has become widely used for resolving disputes and conflicts.

During the meeting, USAID representative Mrs Tara Neal visited the joint sewing workshop of SHGs Gulbahor and Zhashtar, which is located in the rural district of Kara-Suu in the Shark region. She had the opportunity to speak with the businesswomen there and view their products. Subsequently, she visited the Raduga maternal school in Kenzhekul village, Kashkar-Kyshtak rural district, to become acquainted with its activities, documentation and conditions.
