Visit of representatives of the Bread for the World

On 30 March 2023, representatives of the German international organisation Bread for the World, namely Claudia Hinderer, Programme Manager of the Middle East, Caucasus, Central Asia and South-Eastern Europe Division, and Anne Ndiaye, undertook a visit to the Kara-Suu district of Osh oblast.
They were accompanied by Rakhila Zhusupova (Chairperson of Erayim), Gulnara Nurmatova (Programme Manager), Julia Suchar (Fundraising and Organisational Development Expert), and other staff members. During the visit, the delegation familiarised themselves with the activities of the project 'The Introduction of a Combination of Modern and Traditional Approaches to Prevent the Conflict in the South of Kyrgyzstan', which is being implemented by the Women's Public Union Erayim.
The visitors commenced their visit by familiarising themselves with the activities implemented under the project in the rural districts of Mady, Shark and Kyzyl-Kyshtak of Kara-Suu district. They participated in a training event organised for SHGs Maksat and Bereke members in the Uchkun village of Mady rural district. Subsequently, they became acquainted with the horticultural activities of the Tazagul SHG. Subsequently, the delegation visited the maternal school 'Roza-Nuru', which was established in Machak village of the Shark rural district. They also observed an event entitled "Tales of Grandmothers".
Additionally, the guests visited Abu Ali ibn Sino Secondary School No. 16, situated in Kosh-Tash village, where they observed a sporting event designated as "Friendship," which involved the participation of schoolchildren. In the afternoon, during their visit to Kyzyl-Kyshtak rural district, the guests participated in an exhibition of drawings created by children, organised by the project psychologist at School No. 117, named after K. Matkerimov, in Ishkavan village. During the day, the guests observed activities, and at the end of the day, they attended a training session organised for the staff of maternal schools in the Kara-Suu district.
