On 3 March 2023, on the occasion of the Day of the State Flag of the Kyrgyz Republic on the initiative of children's self-help groups, an event ‘The Kyrgyz Flag Living for Ages’ was organised.

The event took place in secondary schools Abu Ali ibn Sino No. 16 in Shark village of Kara-Suu district and Kamil Matkerimov No. 117 in Ishkavan village of Kyzyl-Kyshtak rural district. During the event, members of children's self-help groups "Ata-Turk", "Mekenchilder", "Shamdagaylar", "Onuguu", organized in Kyzyl-Kyshtake, passed through the streets of the village. And the members of the groups "Yntymak", "Balajan", "Barsbek", "Kyrgyzstan", and "Navbahor" from the village of Shark presented flags to children of junior classes.

The purpose of the event was to encourage youth to love their country, international friendship, harmony and unity. 111 members of 14 children's self-help groups collected money for 30 soms each and bought 4 large flags and 60 small flags for 3330 soms, - says Kyal Mamazhanova, project coordinator for children's SHGs.
