The project "Back to Earth" - Taking Steps to More Sustainable Farming started its work

Erayim Women's Public Union has launched a new project "Back to Earth" - Taking Steps to More Sustainable Farming.
The project is supported by the Australian Government within the framework of the Direct Aid Program (DAP) of the Australian Embassy in Moscow and implemented by the Women's Public Union Erayim. It should be noted that the organization successfully implemented the project Women Empowerment in the Rural Areas of Kyrgyzstan in cooperation with the Australian Government's Direct Aid Program in the past.
The project aims to improve farmers' knowledge and skills in Saydikum ayil okmotu of Bazar-Korgon district of Jalalabad oblast regarding sustainable usage of water resources, organic fertilizers, and sustainable organic waste management.
The presentation of the project took place in Saidikum village from March 28 to April 2, 2023, with the participation of 260 people. Local residents attended the event, members of self-help groups, representatives of local authorities and other stakeholders. Rakhila Zhusupova, the Chairperson of Erayim delivered a congratulatory speech and briefly shared information about the project and highlighted other issues related to the general activities of the organisation. Mamatkazy Kaparov made a presentation of the project and gave detailed information about the aims, objectives and components of the project as well as the planned activities within the project. After the presentation, questions of the audience were answered.
At the end of the event, the participants wished success to WPU Erayim and an elder among the participants gave his blessing for the successful implementation of the project.
