Within the framework of the project ‘The Introduction of a Combination of Modern and Traditional Approaches to Prevent the Conflict in the South of Kyrgyzstan,’ implemented by Women's Public Union ‘Erayim,’ self-help groups in Bazar-Korgon city and the Akman municipalities of the Bazar-Korgon district and their associations organize public meetings from time to time.

At meetings, organizers report on work they have done, and on the status of solving issues raised at the local level before people.

Another such meeting was held with the participation of leaders of ASHG ‘Ak-Tilek’, ‘Akyikat’, ‘Asylzat’ with M. Satybaldieva, Z. Zholdosheva and K. Ergeshova. The leaders of these ASHGs, who work closely with local authorities and local residents, spoke about their contribution to the socio-economic development of their villages. The meeting was held in a questions and answers format, and many questions were asked by citizens. During the meeting, representatives of local governments were informed about the work done in 2021 and the planned work for 2022. Information was provided by local authorities on activities of municipality administration, problems in the municipalities, and the most important issues effecting pastures and agriculture.

Such meetings have a beneficial effect on the life of the rural population because it allows issues to be raised and discussed openly. Participants seek answers to what can be done and the needs of the local population.
