Women's Public Union Erayim organized a four-day training for activists of the Associations SHGs Bazar-Korgon district Jalal-Abad oblast as part of the project ‘The Introduction of a Combination of Modern and Traditional Approaches to Prevent the Conflict in the South of Kyrgyzstan’.

The training course included the following topics: ‘Joint Management’, ‘Effective and Responsible Advocacy’ and ‘Monitoring and Evaluating System’. The training was held by Kanykei Myrzaeva, a representative of the Jalal-Abad Rural Advisory Service. The organization cooperates with Eraiym.

She noted that the purpose of the training was to teach methods and subjects of corporate management, the characteristics of leadership in management, the success of corporate management in society, the ability to set goals, to plan and achieve corporate management goals. The participants were active and were able to strengthen their knowledge base. They discussed examples of how to participate in management at the local level and why all stakeholders should be involved in the management and how effective management can be achieved. In the example of problems, ways of advocacy were determined. The following issues were chosen for advocacy: ‘The road to school is long, children do not go to school, there is no school in the village’, ‘There are families in Akman municipality that do not receive child benefits. The training achieved its goals. Some participants had information on the topics. I think it was convenient for the participants to raise the issues they face in their activities and receive information that can be used as a guide to the interests of the group,’ noted Kanykey Myrzaeva.
