Gulsana Mamasheva is a resident of Bazar-Korgon municipality who received psychological assistance from Zhyldyz Kaldarbekova, a psychologist for the project ‘The Introduction of a Combination of Modern and Traditional Approaches to Prevent the Conflict in the South of Kyrgyzstan’ implemented by WPU Erayim.
Gulsana organized a special master class for educators of maternal schools. Gulsana Mamasheva is actually one of the most talented craftswomen in her village. She mainly makes national things and jewellery. In the master class, she showed how to make things for the National Corner of the maternal schools.
- Basically, everyone is talented. However, there are many people who do not know how to show their talent. As a rule, they are shy and timid. Gulsana Mamasheva, before receiving psychological help, was also one of those who hid their abilities. She went through various hardships in life which led to her depression. After meeting with me, conducting a series of conversations, consultations and psychological trainings, there were big changes. She began to look at life differently and began to reveal her hidden abilities. She had her own skills and methods, especially in making national things. She began to share her skills with educators of the maternal schools. Now she is planning to visit all maternal schools of the project area and give master classes on making visual aids of a national character,’ noted the project psychologist Zhyldyz Kaldarbekova.
