In 2020, Kurmanzhan Datka SHGs Association introduced three proposals to Mady municipality. This Association was created by WPU Erayim in Mady municipality Kara-Suu district Osh oblast. They are doing their best in improving the standards of living in the municipality. One of the proposals was a construction of a sidewalk along Bedelova Street, where a village school was situated.

According to the above proposal, the head of Kurmanzhan Datka SHGs Association Sanzhyra Pusurova confirmed the following information. ‘In November of this year, one of our three proposals was implemented. Since one of the large streets of the village, Bedelova Street had no sidewalk, and children went to school along this street. 689 thousand soms have been allocated from the budget of the Mady municipality for the construction of a sidewalk with a length of 1,500 meters.

Self-Help Groups “Datkayim”, “Yrysky”, “Dostuk”, “Ak Niet”, “Umut”, “Zhakshylyk”, “Kozho” and “Kelechek” who are members of Kurmanzhan Datka SHGs Association worked together with the village administration to solve this problem. According to the villagers, these self-help groups made a significant contribution to a non-conflict solution to this problem, talking with residents of Bedelov Street to move their fens and gates to give space for the construction of a sidewalk along the street. They were explained by SHG activists and the municipality representatives about the importance of sidewalk construction for the benefit of schoolchildren and villagers.
