Within the framework of the project ‘The Introduction of a Combination of Modern and Traditional Approaches to Prevent the Conflict in the South of Kyrgyzstan’ implemented by WPU Erayim with the support of the German organization Bread for the World, the ChSHG of Bazar-Korgon district organized a "Bicycle March", timed to coincide with the World AIDS Day, celebrated on the first day of January.

They travelled from the district centre to nearby villages to explain the danger of AIDS and its consequences. ‘We are against AIDS!’, ‘AIDS is the enemy of the century!’ with these slogans and photographs children travelled with bicycles urging rural youth, schoolchildren and older generations to work together against AIDS. Social teachers of each school, representatives of the district education department, specialists of Akman municipality and Bazar-Korgon mayor's office took part in the children's action. It must be noted that 300 children are members of self-help groups in this project area. According to ChSHG coordinator, Aziz Orozaliev ChSHG like adult SHGs work in five directions: economic, social, environmental, educational and cultural. The main goal in creating ChSHG is to increase the activity of children, show initiative in solving small problems and be an example for other children. Therefore, they carry out various events and actions one after one.
