Staff members of the WPU Erayim project in Bazar-Korgon district, together with specialists from the district education department, organized a meeting on the topic ‘Children’s rights and responsibilities’ among schoolchildren of the secondary school No. 26 named after Kudaiberdiev.

The event was initiated by Abdulaziz Orozaliev, the ChSHG coordinator and Gulnara Tashieva the lawyer of the project ‘The Introduction of a Combination of Modern and Traditional Approaches to Prevent the Conflict in the South of Kyrgyzstan’ implemented by WPU Erayim. The meeting was attended by school directors and teachers, parents, members of the ChSHG, representatives of the juvenile affairs inspectorate. Experts conducted training courses on such topics as ‘The child's right to life and upbringing in the family’, ‘The child's right to communicate with parents and other relatives’, ‘The child's right to protect his rights’, ‘The child's right to bear his name, family name and patronymic’, ‘The child's right to property’, ‘Equality of rights and responsibilities of parents’, ‘Parental rights and responsibilities for children’, ‘The rights and responsibilities of parents to protect the rights and interests of children’. It is also important to note that during the training courses it was explained by a lawyer that no one can be discriminated against based on ethnicity, religion, sex, language, race, disability, age, political or other beliefs, education, origin, property or another status, and also for other reasons. At the end of the event, the organizers presented the participants with a book entitled ‘The rights, duties and responsibilities of children.
