Young members of the Associations of Self-Help Groups, formed in Bazar-Korgon district Jalal-Abad oblast within the framework of the project ‘The Introduction of a Combination of Traditional and Modern Approaches to Prevent the Conflict in the South of Kyrgyzstan’ attended a three-day training course ‘Promotion of Employment and Vocational Training’ to improve their knowledge in the field of modern entrepreneurship.

The training was conducted in Jalal-Abad by the German Corporation for International Cooperation GmbH (GIZ). Members of the Umut and Zhashtar Self-Help Groups took an active part in this course.

“Such training courses have not been conducted before. These were classes on how to get a job, how to get an additional job, how to start a business, and each lesson was meaningful, understandable and accessible with a combination of theory and practice. Upon completion of the training, active participants were awarded special Certificates. This document opened up the opportunity for each participant to start their own business to the best of their ability. This seminar also brought us long-awaited opportunities that will expand our knowledge and experience,” added Aisuluu Orozova.
