Participants of the English club in a number of schools in the Bazar-Korgon district took an active part in the ‘Book Caravan-2021’ campaign organized by the Women's Public Union Erayim within the framework of the project ‘The Introduction of a Combination of Traditional and Modern Approaches to Prevent the Conflict in the South of Kyrgyzstan’.
According to the head of the club, Aisuluu Orozova, despite the fact that the pupils were on summer vacation, the classes of the clubs were not interrupted, and they repeated what they had learned. This is because if they don't repeat a foreign language, they will quickly forget it. Our classes were practically online. However, they participated in various competitions. Active students took part in ‘Book Caravan -2021’, where they met Pamela Ludwig online and received answers to their questions. They drew pictures on the story ‘The Boy Talking to the Earth’ and received special awards for their drawings. They had a chance to talk to children of English speaking clubs of Tash-Komur town and Aksy district through ZOOM and got to know each other. Jalal-Abad State University English teachers held a ‘Talking Club’ for club participants. Pupils were asked questions by university teachers. The conversation was conducted only in English, and the children learned a lot from it,’ says Aisuluu Orozova.
It should be noted that two students from secondary school No. 7 named after Alym Usman Chyngyz Aitmatov municipality Jalal-Abad city, two students from the secondary school named after Toktogul, Bazar-Korgon district and two pupils from secondary school No. 26 named after Kudaiberdiev took part in the event.
