Within the framework of the third phase of the project ‘The Introduction of a Combination of Traditional and Modern Approaches to Prevent the Conflict in the South of Kyrgyzstan’, implemented by WPU Erayim with the support of the German international organization Bread for the World (Brot für die Welt), WPU Erayim in partnership with the Kara-Suu department of Ministry of Internal Affairs and Shark, Mady and Kyzyl-Kyshtak municipalities’ juvenile inspectors has been cooperating for almost two years.
As part of this cooperation, a work plan for 2020 was developed, on the basis of which in February this year in Shark municipality Kara-Suu district, an event ‘A Day of Prevention’ was held with the participation of district police officers and social workers, representatives of local governments, the project's legal consultant Dilshod Kadirkhodjaev, psychologist Dilfuza Anarbaeva, inspector of the juvenile affairs inspectorate Baktinur Turdubaev and school social educators.
The purpose of the event was to be familiarized with the living conditions of vulnerable families and schoolchildren in the municipality, to identify the causes and problems of aggressive behavior of citizens in the municipality and to work together to eliminate them.
Since February, in Shark municipality, raiders have visited 50 low-income families and four people with disabilities. They listened to their problems. Dilfuza Anarbaeva, a psychologist at WPU Erayim branch in Osh oblast, said that, based on the information received, social educators apply to medical institutions, social support centres, legal advisers and psychologists to solve a number of family problems, and the earliest possible resolution of their problems is being considered.
