Members of the Shark SHGs Association on April 23-24, 2021 organized a performance of a fairy tale for children ‘The Tale of Wise Mothers’ at the maternal schools ‘Kyzgaldyk’ and ‘Roza Nuru’ in the rural districts of Kyzyl-Kyshtak and Shark in the Kara-Suu district.

The event was organized within the framework of the project The Introduction of a Combination of Traditional and Modern Approaches to Prevent the Conflict in the South of Kyrgyzstan’, implemented by a Women's Public Union Erayim with the support of the German international organization Bread for the World (Brot für die Welt).

During the event, wise mothers dressed in national costumes, told stories about the Kyrgyz and Uzbek peoples, as well as about the friendship of two peoples, about the traditions of respect for elders.

“The main goal of the event is to teach children what is good and what is evil, to respect elders, to be hardworking, honest and to love motherland through a colourful costume performance of a folk tale”, - says Gulkayir Dzholdubaeva, local coordinator for maternal schools.
