Currently, in Shark, Mady, Kyzyl-Kyshtak and Toloiken municipalities Kara-Suu district there are 32 Children's Self-Help Groups, consisting of 282 children, which were organized within the framework of the project ‘The Introduction of a Combination of Traditional and Modern Approaches to Prevent the Conflict in the South of Kyrgyzstan’ implemented by WPU Erayim under the support of the German international organization Bread for the World. They work according to the annual event plan.
The most promising children of children's self-help groups visited Osh State University in April this year to take part in the Open Day event. At the event, school graduates had the opportunity to obtain information about all faculties of Osh State University and determine which profession they will choose.
According to ChSHG member Erkin uulu Akylbek, the open day was very impressive for them. He and his friends used to think about which career they would choose and where they would get their education, and he said he was grateful that this was a great opportunity for them today.
The purpose of the event was to help children choose a profession, - said Kiyal Mamazhanova and said that members of other ChSHGs, secondary school graduates will take part in similar events.
