Members of the men's self-help group ‘Ak Zhol’, created in Shark municipality, within the framework of the project ‘The Introduction of a Combination of Traditional and Modern Approaches to Prevent the Conflict in the South of Kyrgyzstan’ of WPU Erayim implemented under the support of the German international organization Bread for the World took part in ‘Kara-Suu Farmers' Market Fair’.

The event took place on the central square of the Kara-Suu district and lasted 3 days. On behalf of the Shark rural district, members of the ‘Ak Zhol’ self-help group visited it and put up potatoes, carrots, onions and other vegetables grown by their own hands for sale, - said Adylzhan Turgunov, head of the Ak Zhol SHG.

At this fair, representatives of the agricultural products export department of the administration of the Kara-Suu district for the development of agriculture appreciated the work of all farmers and put it up for sale at wholesale prices.

Members of the ‘Ak Zhol’ group from Shark municipality at the fair sold 3 tons of potatoes for 84 thousand soms, 3.5 tons of carrots for 70 thousand soms, 1.8 tons of onions for 36 thousand soms, fruits and vegetables for 11 thousand soms. We sold their products for the total amount of 201000 soms, - said Adylzhan Turgunov with joy.
