On March 30, 2021 in Kyzyl-Kyshtak, Shark, Mady, Toloiken, Saray, Nariman municipalities of Kara-Suu district, events called ‘Neighborhood Unity’ were held by Self-Help Groups and Associations of Self-Help Groups.

These activities were organized within the framework of the project ‘The Introduction of a Combination of Traditional and Modern Approaches to Prevent the Conflict in the South of Kyrgyzstan’, implemented by the Women's Public Union Erayim under the support of the German international organization ‘Bread for the World’ to strengthen the friendship of the residents of the project area.

The events were timed to coincide with the arrival of spring and the blessed holiday of Nooruz, and all SHG Associations and newly formed self-help groups took part in it. A member of the ‘Raduga’ group Shaista Latipova said that throughout the country the people celebrated Nooruz, cooked a traditional festive food sumolok, and the villagers and friendly neighbors expressed their sincere wishes to each other.

Along with the traditions of blessing, sumolok was distributed to the participants of the holiday, who glorified the unity, friendship, solidarity and peaceful life of the people.
