Meeting "Erayim" with representatives of the Australian Embassy

On September 12, 2014 The Women’s Public Union “Erayim” was visited by Embassy staff from the Australian Embassy in Moscow, by the Deputy Head of Mission Counsellor Melissa O’Rourke, First secretary of the Embassy Michael Kourteff and Officer of Policy section of the Embassy Natalia Chudinovskikh.
During the visit, the guests were acquainted with the general activity of WPU “Erayim” and its projects which are being implemented today. “Erayim” representatives gave detailed information about their projects, such as “Strengthening friendship and unity through the traditional and modern methods” funded by the International organization “Brot für die Welt” and “Preventing theft of brides” funded by Democracy Commission of the US Embassy and is being implemented in conjunction with the Public foundation “Institute Kyz-Korgon”. Employees of "Erayim" noted the importance of solving socio-economic problems in rural districts of Kyrgyzstan. And also talked about their beneficiaries in regions and their needs in the construction of greenhouses, the need to establish radio centers at schools and conducting sought-after seminars for self-help groups. In turn, the Embassy representatives spoke about the purpose of their visit, and willingness to support short-term socio-economic projects.
