Within the framework of the second phase of the project ‘The Introduction of a Combination of Traditional and Modern Approaches to Prevent the Conflict in the South of Kyrgyzstan’, implemented by the Women's Public Union Erayim, an online meeting of the Jalal-Abad team of the project with the administration of the organization took place.
The project team in Jalal-Abad oblast reported on the work done during the year. It was accepted by the head of the organization Rakhila Zhusupova, the project coordinator Gulnara Nurmatova and other specialists of the organization.
Each project staff member gave a report on the work done and plans for the new 2021 year. For example, Kishimzhan Boronbaeva, a project coordinator for Self-Help Groups, noted that seven more SHGs had been entered the three existing SHG Associations. She said that new self-help groups had been created in Beshik-Jon, Seidikum and Kenesh municipalities of Bazar-Korgon district and had already begun their work. Previous SHGs operating in Bazar-Korgon and Akman municipalities have been working with local authorities to create jobs, address social problems in municipalities and are already reaping the benefits of their work. Report takers noted that it is necessary to support the good endeavors of the self-help groups and that it necessary to pay attention to the results of the work performed. Aziz Orozaliev, coordinator for children self-help groups, also spoke about the planned work and what needs to be done. The project lawyer Gulnara Tashieva, psychologist Zhyldyz Kaldarbekova, coordinator for maternal schools Dilfuza Nazaralieva, head of the English club Aisuluu Orozova also provided information and listened to the recommendations of the organization's leadership. There were also proposals to fulfill some items of the action plan temporarily unfulfilled in connection with the last year's pandemic.
