Kenesh municipality is the biggest municipality in the Bazar-Korgon district. It is multinational and populous. But unfortunately attracting investments, solving the local problems with the help of projects are carrying out passively.

Taking the situation into consideration the local active women raised an initiative to join the project of WPU Erayim ‘The Introduction of a Combination of Traditional and Modern Approaches to Prevent the Conflict in the South of Kyrgyzstan’. The inhabitant of above-mentioned municipality Zhanyl Chyibylova told that she knew about the organization and its project and the women of Bazar-Korgon and Akman municipalities who were solving their problems under the project by TV channels. ‘I envied those women. I know most of them. They told me that they bought a new fridge, new oven. They told they could solve this or that problems with the help of WPU Erayim. Now by a good chance, we are also able to work with this organization on the project. I am very happy. I waited for it for a long time. I dreamed about it because we also have a lot of problems in our villages. We have problems but we do not have directions on how to solve them. If someone will direct us, consult and train us we will be happy to solve our issues by ourselves. I work in the kindergarten ‘Akbermet’ for a long time. The building of the kindergarten is very old. It has problems inside too. If we can create a Self-Help Group, I think we can solve our issues.

Kishimzhan Boronbaeva, the coordinator of the WPU Erayim in the Jalal-Abad province, noted that in the third phase of the project other municipalities of the Bazar-Korgon district such as Beshik-Zhon, Seidikum and Kenesh will join the project. It means that new self-help groups will be created of women of these multinational municipalities and training courses will be conducted for them. Due to the pandemic, the training courses will be conducted online.

Five self-help groups are going to be created of women of the multinational Kenesh municipality. They were acquainted with the organization and the works have done within the project in detail. The project coordinator Maksat Pirmatov and the coach Venera Babedinova also took part in the meeting. And the women who put the big goals in front of them informed that they were going to do many good jobs for their villages.
