During the quarantine and self-isolation regime, the maternal schools, created within the framework of the WPU Erayim's “The Introduction of a Combination of Traditional and Modern Approaches to Prevent the Conflict in the South of Kyrgyzstan” project, supported by German international organization Bread for the World (Brot für die Welt) in Akman and Bazar-Korgon rural districts of Bazar-Korgon district continue to work remotely.

The project coordinator for maternal schools, Dilfuza Nazaralieva, reported that in preparatory groups 13 out of 20 maternal schools created within the framework of the project, classes are conducted under the 480-hour Balalyk program. Parents help in conducting distance learning lessons. According to her, the educators of maternal schools don't have enough visual aids for conducting distance learning. Therefore, the expert of the project for maternal schools, Dilnara Maigulakova, assists in the exchange of experience and provision of visual aids, often contacted by educators and advises them. Despite this, each educator independently works on themselves to improve own methodology.

“The main objective is to provide an opportunity for children of the preparatory group to be able to fully master the curriculum for entering school,” D. Nazaralieva added.

It should be noted that in 13 maternal schools that use this technique, from 20 to 30 children will be issued for school entry. And in the remaining 7 maternal schools this method is not used since these maternal schools work in the short-term stay of children.
