A five-day training course was conducted for specialists of local self-government, social teachers and juvenile inspectors in Akman and Bazar-Korgon rural districts of Bazar-Korgon district and Ch. Aitmatov territorial unit of Jalal-Abad city in Jalal-Abad oblast.

The purpose of the training course was to strengthen municipality workers’ capacity in working with citizens, to increase the level of knowledge in child psychology. The training course was conducted by experienced trainer-psychologist Chynara Termechikova. 12 people attended the training course. The training course included the following topics: Formation of Confident Behavior in Children, Formation of Personal Growth of Children, Some Issues of Child Psychology and Specific Features of Adolescence.

The following principles were used in the training course: the Principle of Activeness - in other words, all the participants actively participated in discussions, exercises, role-playing games, and also observed on the activeness of other participants, the Principle of Partnership, it means that relationships at the training course were based taking into account the interests of all participants, their equality; personal qualities of each participant were taken into account, the principle of Here and Now drew the attention of the participants to the events taking place at the moment, the principle of Non-disclosure of Secrecy, everything that was said at the training course will not be disclosed and this will prevent the participants from getting mental trauma.

Participants took part with great interest to and discussed material on the cognitive and psycho-emotional development of children from the birth of a child to his teenage years. Participants provided life examples and noted the effects of migration that harm children. The training participants received information about the basic needs of children, the needs of children deprived of parental care and faced with life difficulties, emotional trauma of children, deprivation, child anxiety and deviant behavior.

An interesting discussion took place about the nature of the development of the child and the crisis ages in the development of the child, about the need for a special space created for the development of the child. A child is different from an adult, so you need to treat them particularly. A presentation was presented on this topic and on the need to create a special healthy atmosphere for the harmonious personal development of the child. Besides, a definition of the concept of “violence” was given, where its types such as the use of physical force, emotional-psychological violence, sexual violence, indifferent attitude, exploitation were discussed in detail. Through role-playing games, types of violence were shown. Violence in the field of education (bullying, cyberbullying, mobbing, hazing, racketeering) was debated, and it was noted that there was no justification for violence against children, hotly discussed that violence against children could be prevented. Attention was drawn to the causes of violence, the identity of the rapist. Social teachers noted that there may be isolated cases of violence and constantly repeated humiliation in schools. Violence harms the development of the child, this was discussed in small groups at the training course. At the training, participants noted that they will use the acquired knowledge in their daily activities.
