On April 5-6 this year, the charity event was organized in Shark and Mady villages of Kara-Suu district, in secondary schools No. 86 named after Kurmanjan Datka and No.16 named after Abu Ali ibn Sino. The events were organized within the framework of the WPU Erayim’s project ‘Introduction of a Combination of Traditional and Modern Approaches to Prevent the Conflict in the South of Kyrgyzstan’, supported by German international organization Bread for the World (Brot für die Welt). They were organized on the initiative of the WPU Erayim and were held with the participation of the National Red Crescent Society.

These events at two schools were actively attended by members of SHGs and CSHG, as well as teachers. Master classes were shown to the members of the CSHG by an experienced trainer of the Representative Office of the National Red Crescent Society of the Kyrgyz Republic in the city of Osh.

The main purpose of the event is to provide information for immediate assistance in emergency situations, as well as providing the possibility to operate with confidence in order to preserve and protect life under everyday conditions. Children, participants of Self-Help Groups received answers to their questions, performed several exercises in practice. At the end of the event, the children of CSHG voluntarily brought clothes for people in need and gave them to representatives of the National Red Crescent Society.

Galina Glebova, an experienced trainer of the abovementioned organization noted that she had an intention to cooperate with the WPU Erayim as partners in the future.
