With the arrival of spring, sumolok is prepared everywhere, becoming the brand of spring. This means that sumolok wishes people goodness, who cooks sumolok will be considered to have many good deeds. It became a tradition. The staff of the 'Perishte' maternal school in Bazar-Korgon village of Bazar-Korgon district did not stand aside from such event. The educators, who worked here, their assistants, grew wheat with their own hands, observing all the rules for making sumolok, prepared this food of Umai Ene – the angel of mothers and children. Parents also helped.

- Our school was created within the framework of the WPU Erayim’s project ‘Introduction of a Combination of Traditional and Modern Approaches to Prevent the Conflict in the South of Kyrgyzstan’. We perform the duties of a preschool institution. First, the maternal school was launched with the help of parents, now this maternal school is included in the budget and more than 20 women are provided with work. Children of different ethnicity are being brought up in our maternal school. Teaching is conducted in Kyrgyz and Russian languages. At the same time, the staff took into the hands teaching an English. Our building is not large, but convenient. Internal and external design made by educators’ hands. All of them have the appropriate education, they are experienced and creative. At the same time with teaching and educating more than a hundred children, we hold such kind of activities very often. The event on cooking sumolok was also very interesting. First, they germinated wheat, and then they passed it through a meat grinder, washed in water, and passed through a sieve. They fried 40 breads in oil in a two hundred-liter cauldron. Wheat flour was added to the water, observing all the rules we began to prepare this sacred food. Our educators hold this event every year with the arrival of spring. Sumolok was boiled on the cauldron accompanied by a concert program. The teachers themselves sang songs, danced, organized games. Parents also had a great time with them. The children also saw the process of cooking with their own eyes. The guests of the event witnessed the creativity of children as well, says the head of the maternal school Magripa Satybaldiyeva.
