At present, the young, as well as the old generation, have stopped reading books, being busy with the Internet, receiving information from the Internet. This has become a topical issue of the present. Therefore, the head of the Bazar-Korgon district library, Zharkynay Karimova, traveling around the villages organizes meetings in the village libraries with the residents. In her efforts, she collaborates with the staff the WPU Erayim in the Jalal-Abad Oblast.

Together with the Russian language club working under the project of this organisation ‘Introduction of a Combination of Traditional and Modern Approaches to Prevent Conflict in the South of Kyrgyzstan’, she organized a poetry evening called “The Sun of Russian Poetry”. At this literary party, organized together with the head of the library of the village of Kolot and the head of the club Aksana Davletova, in honor of the 220th anniversary of the classic of Russian poetry, Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin, his poems were expressively read in Russian.

- This literary evening was attended by residents of the village Kolot and active readers of the library. I helped organize the evening, gave the readers a lesson in Russian using visual aids, how to read expressively poems, how to pronounce words correctly, according to the rhythm of poems, how to read them expressively. From time to time I myself also spend various events among readers, as today the number of readers is decreasing. Pupils participating in the club of which I lead from the Teshebay uulu Isak and Toktogul secondary schools of this oblast and school No. 7 named after Alym Usman of the town of Jalal-Abad began to speak Russian fluently, read poetry and prose in Russian freely, - said the head of the Russian language club Aksana Davletova.
