An event was held to share experiences between the SHG associations of the Kara-Suu district named ‘Kurmanzhan Datka’, ‘Shark’ and ‘Kerme-Too’ on February 28, 2019. The event was held in the village of Ishkavan of Kara-Suu district, within the framework of the project ‘The Introduction of a Combination of Traditional and Modern Approaches to Prevent Conflict in the South of Kyrgyzstan’ implemented with the support of the international German organization Bread for the World (Brot für die Welt).

The self-help groups joined the above associations exchanged experiences on advocacy and lobbying, running small entrepreneurship, holding cultural events, conducting environmental activities, developing maternal schools, and properly conducting office work.

During the event, members of the Kurmanjan Datka and Shark associations from the villages of Mady and Shark were able to see how small entrepreneurship, office work, and other activities are conducted by the members of the SHGs of Kerme-Too association.

It was noted that the holding of such experience exchange events between the three SHGs associations contributes to the development of self-help groups joined the associations and to prevent conflicts in the region.
