The members of CSHG took another tour

Schoolchildren, not limited to their studies, receive opportunities for multilateral development by participating in projects sponsored by international organizations. They actively participate in public events, raising initiatives to solve various kinds of problems, making contributions.

In the implementation of such activities within the framework of the project WPU Erayim ‘Introduction of a Combination of Traditional and Modern Approaches to Prevent Conflict in the South of Kyrgyzstan’, children's self-help groups are working in Osh and Jalal-Abad oblasts. Children's self-help groups were organized in enrolled to the project areas such as Akman and Bazar-Korgon villages of Bazar-Korgon district in Jalal-Abad oblast and in secondary school No. 7 named after Alym Usman of the Chyngyz Aitmatov territorial district of Jalal-Abad city. According to the project coordinator for children's self-help groups, Maksat Pirmatov, in the Jalal-Abad oblast there are 30 CSHGs, which include 304 schoolchildren. 13 groups of 137 schoolchildren were created at Joomart Bokonbayev boarding school, 11 groups at Toktogul and Ysak uulu Teshebay secondary schools in Akman village, which involved 108 schoolchildren, 6 groups of 59 schoolchildren created at the Alym Usman secondary school in Jalal-Abad city.

- During the years of the project, these groups worked mainly in five directions in their schools, raising problematic issues of a local nature, helping to resolve them with their initiative ideas, as well as organizing various cultural events. In the direction of improving the health of children, every year, 60 children spent their holidays in ‘Bakyt’ children's health center. They visited the Fergana mobile zoo in Bazar-Korgon district, organized meetings with veterans of the Great Patriotic War, Batken and Afghan wars. Competitions for girls “Come on, girls!”, “Maiden game” were organized among the girls and among the boys there were organized competitions of patriotic education “My homeland-Kyrgyzstan”. Children organized eco-actions “Cleanliness” and “Ecotour” in the direction of preserving the purity of the environment, they did a plenty of works to clean up the streets, planted flowers, trees, and were engaged in gardening. At the same time, they did not leave on the side to visit historical places and neighboring cities. In recent days, they were divided into two groups; in the first group, 21 children from the Mega Star and Kelechek CSHG visited the Uzgen tower of Uzgen town and the ‘Sulayman-Too’ historical museum of Osh city. The second group of 23 children from ‘Shumkarlar’ and ‘Dilgirler’ also visited these places. Sponsors took the cost of travel and meals, says M. Pirmatov
